Fire Alarm Engineer Certification in Ireland

There is no official certification process for becoming a Fire Alarm Engineer in Ireland. Instead, Fire Alarm Regulations (IS 3218) emphasize the importance of being a Competent Person. All aspects of fire alarm work, including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance, must be carried out by a Competent Person as defined by regulations:
"possessing sufficient training, experience, and knowledge appropriate to the nature of the work to be undertaken" (EN 54-1 / I.S.54-1). In short, there is a legal requirement to be a Competent Person if you work on fire alarms. This means having the necessary training, knowledge, and experience, and we can help you meet that requirement.
